The clouds finally rolled out of Champaign just in time for the 2008 Annual Golf Outing at Stone Creek - Home of the Sabers! Golfers enjoyed lunch by Town & Country Catering, and Maria Tucker's brownies were a big hit! Though the course was a bit wet, it didn't stop these golfers from enjoying this 18-hole course.

Parents' Association
Parents' Association News...
Congratulations to Linda Atherton, Lynn Clarkson, Mary Gehrt and Kristin Wetzel, winners of the Parents' Association drawing held at the Open House evening or September 13th. Names were drawn from parents who registered their County Max and Jerry's IGA HVC cards from the registration days through September 13th at the school.
The 2006-2007 Student/Parent Directory is available at the school office. Please stop by to pick up your copy (one per household please).
A very special "thank you" goes to Sheri Doyle. Sheri has been responsible for entering in all of the contact information that appears in the directory. She has quietly done this job for at least the last 4 years.
The Parents' Association is not involved in any active fund raising. The major portion of our budget comes from your contribution of the $40 dues that you were asked to consider when you registered your child(ren) at the beginning of the school year. A small portion of our budget also comes from your support of the County Market "Max Dollars for Education" and Jerry's IGA HVC programs. We rely on your generosity and time to make this organization successful.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about the Parents' Association, the officers and class reps are listed at the back of the directory. Please check the calendar on the STM website for our meetings, which are open to all parents and guardians. Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 3rd, at 7:00 P.M. in the school library.
Student Services
STM Guidance Dept. becomes "Student Services"
In order to more accurately reflect the services which the Guidance Department offers, we are changing our name. Our new name is
Student Services.
There are many more services for our students from our department than just guidance. Whether it be social emotional counseling, academic advising, and/or college counseling, students come to our office for many reasons. Our services are staying the same; just our name has changed.

STM Needs Cookies
To thank the Assembly Hall for all it does for STM and to wish everyone who works at the Assembly Hall a MERRY CHRISTMAS, STM delivers to a tub, yes a tub, of Christmas cookies and candy to them. This tradition was started five years ago. Please help us continue this by bringing one dozen cookies to Mrs. Oliveira on December 12th or 13th. If your last name starts with the letter āSā, please bring a bag of Christmas candy. The tub of goodies will be delivered to the Assembly Hall on December 14th.
